This Fair Usage Policy ("Policy") explains how ixnodes, operated by Innovatex Digital FZCO (IFZA, Dubai, license no. 49371), expects resources to be used so that all customers receive reliable, consistent performance. It is incorporated into and forms part of our Terms of Service and complements our Acceptable Use Policy. Capitalized terms not defined here have the meaning given in the Terms of Service.
The Services run on shared physical infrastructure. Plan specifications (vCPU, RAM, storage, and network port speed) define your allocation; data transfer is unmetered under this Policy. This Policy addresses usage patterns that, while not necessarily malicious, can harm the experience of other customers or the stability of the platform.
1PURPOSE
The purpose of this Policy is to ensure equitable access to shared resources, to protect platform stability, and to set clear expectations about what constitutes reasonable use. We apply this Policy reasonably and proportionately, prioritizing notice and remediation over disruption wherever practical.
2COMPUTE (vCPU)
2.1vCPU allocations are intended for normal, variable workloads. Brief bursts to full allocation are expected and permitted.
2.2Sustained maximum CPU utilization across all allocated cores for extended, continuous periods on plans not designated for such use may be treated as disproportionate use and may be throttled after notice.
2.3Workloads designed primarily to maximize continuous compute consumption (for example, certain rendering farms, mass transcoding, or distributed computing) may require a dedicated or higher-tier plan. Contact us to arrange suitable capacity.
3MEMORY AND STORAGE
3.1RAM and disk are provisioned to the plan specification. Storage is for use in connection with your active Services and is not a standalone backup, archival, or file-distribution service.
3.2You are responsible for managing your storage within the allocated quota. Exceeding storage limits may affect VM operation.
3.3Excessive disk I/O that degrades performance for neighboring workloads on shared storage may be rate-limited. Our storage tier targets are described at the point of sale and are not guaranteed minimums except where stated in the SLA.
4BANDWIDTH AND NETWORK
4.1All ixnodes plans include unmetered monthly data transfer. "Unmetered" means there is no fixed transfer cap and no per-gigabyte overage billing. It remains subject to this Policy and to the network port speed allocated to your plan, and it does not permit sustained line-rate saturation that degrades service for other customers.
4.2Port speed is allocated per plan on a shared, burstable basis. We may shape, prioritize, or rate-limit traffic as needed to maintain network health and equitable access for all customers.
4.3Bandwidth-intensive services (for example, large-scale file distribution, public mirrors, video streaming, or torrent/seedbox workloads) are permitted provided they do not cause sustained congestion or degrade the shared network. Where such a workload consistently saturates the network, a higher-tier or dedicated plan may be required.
4.4We do not charge per-gigabyte bandwidth overage fees. If sustained network usage degrades service for other customers, our approach is notice-first: we will contact you and, where necessary, temporarily reduce your port speed for the remainder of the billing period rather than bill you for usage. Suspension is reserved for cases that pose an immediate risk to network health or that persist after notice.
5EMAIL SENDING
5.1To protect IP reputation and network health, outbound email is subject to rate limits and abuse controls.
5.2High-volume or bulk mail sending requires prior arrangement and proper authentication and consent practices as described in the Acceptable Use Policy.
5.3We may throttle or block outbound mail that triggers abuse, complaint, or blocklist signals.
6IP ADDRESSES
6.1IP addresses are assigned for use with active Services and remain the property of ixnodes or its upstream providers. They may not be transferred or resold.
6.2We may reclaim or reassign IP addresses for operational, security, or reputation reasons, with notice where practical.
7SHARED RESOURCE ABUSE
The following are treated as disproportionate use and may trigger action under this Policy or the Acceptable Use Policy:
7.1Cryptocurrency mining on plans not expressly designated for it.
7.2Running workloads whose primary purpose is to consume shared resources rather than to operate a genuine application or service.
7.3Deliberately structuring usage to evade plan limits or to gain a resource advantage over other customers.
8HOW WE APPLY THIS POLICY
8.1Where we identify usage that is inconsistent with this Policy, our normal approach is, in order: (a) notify you and request that you adjust the usage or upgrade to a suitable plan; (b) apply temporary throttling or rate-limiting; and (c) where the issue persists or poses an immediate risk, suspend the affected Service.
8.2Where usage poses an immediate threat to platform stability, network health, or other customers, we may act first and notify afterward.
8.3This Policy is applied at our reasonable discretion based on observed impact. We aim to be transparent and to offer an appropriate plan rather than simply restrict, wherever the workload is legitimate.
9UPGRADING
If your workload consistently exceeds the fair use expectations of your plan, the solution is usually a higher-tier or dedicated plan. Contact us and we will help you find suitable capacity.
